1. What Muuvers is
Muuvers is operated by PortX Technologies Ltd, a company incorporated in Nigeria under the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020. We run a marketplace that connects customers who need household or small-commercial moves with independent-contractor drivers who provide the transport.
We facilitate the match, the price, the payment and the dispute process. We are not the carrier of your goods — the driver you are matched with carries them. Muuvers is live in Abuja today; Lagos launches in Q3 2026, and we expand city by city as driver supply is vetted.
2. Your account
You must be 18 or older to use Muuvers. To create a customer account you sign up with your email and a one-time code (OTP), and you provide your name, phone number and a pickup contact. You are responsible for keeping your email, your OTP codes and the device you sign in on secure.
- A password reset link is valid for 15 minutes; after that you request a fresh one.
- Changing your phone number is re-verified by OTP before it takes effect.
- Tell us right away at help@muuvers.com or on the 24/7 line if you think someone else is using your account.

3. Bookings, prices and payment
When you request a move we generate a quote from distance, vehicle size and the number of floors involved. The headline rule is simple:
Price lock
- Card payments are processed by our payment partner Paystack and held in escrow until the delivery is complete and undisputed, then released to the driver.
- Cash on delivery is collected in full by the driver on completion. The commission the driver owes Muuvers on a cash job is settled separately through the driver’s earnings ledger.
- A 6-digit loading code unlocks loading, so goods only move once you and the driver confirm the job is the right one.
- Refunds. Approved card refunds are returned within 5 business days; cash refunds follow the outcome of the dispute that decided them.
- Cancellation. You can cancel for free before the driver begins pickup. Once loading has started, cancellation is handled through the dispute flow below.
4. Drivers as independent contractors
Drivers on Muuvers are independent contractors, not Muuvers employees. They set their own availability, choose which jobs to accept and operate their own vehicles. Nothing in these terms creates an employment, agency or partnership relationship between Muuvers and a driver.
Before a driver can accept jobs we verify their identity (NIN with a liveness check via Smile Identity), driving licence, vehicle registration, roadworthiness, insurance and bank-account ownership (via Paystack Resolve). Approval typically takes 24–48 hours, and drivers are re-verified when a document expires.
5. Your conduct on the platform
To keep moves safe for everyone, you agree not to:
- ship illegal goods, hazardous materials or live animals;
- harass, threaten or behave unsafely toward another user — we can suspend or close an account for serious or repeated misconduct;
- scrape or automate Muuvers in a way that disrupts other users’ experience or our systems;
- misrepresent who you are, what you are moving or where it is going.
We may take action against accounts that breach these rules, including where required to comply with the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act (FCCPA) 2018 and other applicable law.
6. Disputes
If something goes wrong on a booking — damage, missing items or the wrong amount charged — open a dispute in the app within 7 days of delivery.
While a dispute is open, the payment for that booking is held. Our operations team reviews the evidence both sides provide and decides the outcome; on resolution we release the funds to the driver or refund you in line with that decision. Card refunds approved through this process are returned within 5 business days; cash outcomes are settled per the decision.
7. Liability
Muuvers facilitates bookings; it is not the carrier of your goods. We do not warrant that a specific driver will arrive at an exact time or that any individual job will be flawless. To the maximum extent permitted by law, where Muuvers is found liable in connection with a booking our aggregate liability for that booking is limited to the total fare you paid for that specific booking.
This cap does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Nigerian law — including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, and the consumer guarantees under the FCCPA 2018.
Your statutory rights
8. Termination
You can close your account at any time at /delete or in the app under Settings → Delete account. Deletion is honoured within 30 days; your trip and payment history is retained where we are required to keep it for tax and dispute purposes (see the Privacy notice).
We may suspend or close an account for fraud, breach of these terms, or where required by law. We will explain why unless we are legally barred from doing so.
9. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Before going to court, you and Muuvers agree to attempt to resolve any dispute first through our in-app dispute flow and then, if needed, through good-faith mediation. Disputes that remain unresolved are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Reconciliations of escrow balances and payouts are processed on a rolling basis; any timing discrepancy you spot should be raised within 24 hours so we can match it against our records.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes are announced with a banner in the app before they take effect. Your continued use of Muuvers after the effective date means you accept the updated terms. Questions go to legal@muuvers.com.
